What Is Rept Art ?

Rept Art is from ex-nihilo, from subconscious. Rept art is the story of the encounter between hazard, instinct and knives (hands). Together they will feed our imaginations with the reptilian folds of my subconscious.
hazard: a few colors and spontaneous vectors sets the stage,

then it is the turn of instinct, the reptilian side which alerts me: teeming forms incoming, holed up in a matrix that my conscience sees barely.

Then my hand (knives) will humanize the work, highlighting, contrasting it to give us the keys to warp into the empires of our subconscious.

The Rept Art thrives in the visitor's mind who start to detects other forms, but also sees previously unknown forms revealed by his own dephts.

I created this concept in 2006 when I was trying to find my way, drawing a lot without painting during 4 years, i decided to challenge myself with oil painting. As I was cleaning my knive from a big wound of color on the canvas, i looked the A4 sheet who served as knive cleaner and discovered shapes of a charismatic monster on crushed colors. A quick make-up in order to contrast the subject from the background and the flash lit my brain: an under art, Subconscious art, a reptilian birth on a paper sheet next a noble canvas, fed by the trash of the close lord, despite ten times significant.
